What you'll need to open a business account

To apply for an account, please visit your local CBB Bank branch. Here's what you'll need to open a new CBB Bank business account.

Select your business type to view the required documentation for opening a new business banking account.

 

Sole Proprietorship
  • Personal ID - 2 valid forms (e.g., driver's license, passport)
  • SSN of Owner or EIN (if applicable)
  • Fictitious Business Name Statement
  • If applicable, Business License/Seller's Permit
  • CBB Bank requires that the Owner(s) be present to open a new account

Partnerships
General Partnerships:
  • Personal ID - 2 valid forms for all general partners
  • Employer Identification Number (EIN) of Partnership
  • Fictitious Name Statement
  • If applicable, Business License/Seller's Permit, Statement of Partnership Authority GP-1, Partnership Agreement
  • CBB Bank requires all general partners to be present for account opening (CBB Bank has required documents to enable unavailable general partners to complete account opening at a later date)
Limited Partnerships:
  • Personal ID - 2 valid forms for all general partners
  • Certification of Limited Partnership (LP-1) or Certification of Limited Liability Partnership (LLP-1)
  • Employer Identification Number (EIN) of Limited Partnership
  • If applicable, Business License/Seller's Permit, Fictitious Business Name Statement, Limited Partnership Agreement
  • CBB Bank requires all general partners to be present for account opening (CBB Bank has required documents to enable unavailable general partners to complete account opening at a later date)
Corporations
Limited Liability Company (LLC):
  • Articles of Incorporation (LLC-1), Statement of Information (LLC-12), Operating Agreement
  • Employer Identification Number (EIN) of LLC
  • If applicable, Fictitious Business Name Statement
  • CBB Bank requires that all members be present for member managed LLCs' and all managers must be present for manager managed LLCs (CBB Bank has required documents to enable unavailable general partners to complete account opening at a later date)
Unincorporated (Non-Profit) Associations or Organizations (Not including Non-Profit Corporations)
  • Letter of authorization; a letter signed by two or more officers of the association authorizing designated individuals to open an account, Chart or By-Laws or governing rules of the association
  • Employer Identification Number (EIN) of Association
  • CBB Bank requires the Secretary be present to open a new account.
Corporation:
  • Articles of Incorporation, Statement of Information, Corporate Resolution
  • Employer Identification Number (EIN) of Corporation
  • If applicable, Fictitious Business Name Statement
  • CBB Bank requires the Corporation's President, Secretary, Assistant Secretary or Acting Secretary to be present to open the account

What you'll need to open a personal account

To apply for an account, please visit your local CBB Bank branch. Here's what you'll need to open a new CBB Bank personal account.

Individual or Joint Accounts
  • SSN for each account holder
  • Each person should provide two forms of ID. One of which much be a valid picture ID such as a state ID or Driver’s License or a US Passport. The other can be a non-expired credit card or current mailing utility bill.
Non-Resident Personal Accounts
  • Valid non-expired picture passport. Must have a US Resident Mailing Address.
Trust Accounts
  • EIN of Trust or SSN of Trustor
  • Notarized Trustee Certification. Valid identification for Trustees (as stated above) along with each Trustees SSN numbers
